#Conversations: This I Believe, pt. 7 – Who Is Man?

The seventh episode of our #Conversations web series focuses on the Scripture’s teaching about the identity of man and what this means for the Christian. We take the opportunity to investigate the case made about who we are without Christ and who we are because of Christ. May this help you in your understanding of who God is, what God does, what God says, and what we must do in trusting Him.

I Am with You Always…

It is good that there is One who is always the same and who is always with us. It is good that there is one stable rock amidst the billows of the sea of life. Let us not set our soul’s affections upon rusting, moth-eaten, decaying treasures but set our hearts upon Him who remains faithful forever. Let us not build our house upon the moving quicksands of a deceitful world but base our hopes upon this rock that, amid descending rain and roaring floods, shall stand immovably secure. My soul, I charge you, lay up your treasure in the only secure cabinet; store your jewels where you can never lose them. Put your all in Christ; set all your affections on His person, all your hope in His merit, all your trust in His efficacious blood, all your joy in His presence, and then you may laugh at loss and defy destruction. Remember that all the flowers in the world’s garden fade by turns, and the day comes when nothing will be left but the black, cold earth and death will soon put out your candle. How sweet to have the sunlight when the candle is gone! The dark flood must soon roll between you and all you have; so join your heart to Him who will never leave you; trust Him who will go with you through the surging current of death’s stream and who will bring you safely to the celestial shore and have you sit with Him in heavenly places forever. In the sorrows of affliction, tell your secrets to the Friend who sticks closer than a brother. Trust all your concerns to Him who can never be taken from you, who will never leave you, and who will never let you leave Him, even “Jesus Christ [who] is the same yesterday and today and forever.”  “I am with you always” is enough for my soul to live upon no matter who forsakes me.

For the weekend of May 7th, 2017…

Hello Church!
I am so looking forward to this coming weekend as we prepare to gather on Sunday!  Let’s look at some of the many reasons why!
Harvest Life BC.pngTo start with… we will be hosting the Harvest Life Boot Camp during our LifeGroups time for youth, collegiate, and adults. To add some flavor to this, we will be serving a hearty full breakfast from 9-9:30 a.m. before this time together. Our guest speaker will be leading this time together for the church.
Harvest Life Sunday
Then the Worship Gathering will be a focused time that is designed for you to invite those who are unchurched, dechurched, or simply have not heard the Gospel message. Our guest speaker is going to be sharing a message to exalt Christ, encourage the church, and evangelize souls.

Hopefully, by presenting two opportunities on Sunday, we will remove the difficulties in schedules for you to invite others…but also to broaden and stretch ourselves in a way that brings strength and health.

I hope you are as pumped as I am! Let’s encourage and invite and show up ready this weekend!

#Conversations: This I Believe, pt. 5 – Jesus, God the Son

The fifth episode of our #Conversations web series focuses on the Scripture’s teaching about Jesus, God the Son and what His identity & authority mean for the Christian.  This foundation of our faith is what gives the disciple, the church, and those seeking answers the truth & salvation we so desperately need. Those gifts are only fulfilled and provided in and through Jesus Christ, God the Son. May this help you in your understanding of who God is, what God does, what God says, and what we must do in trusting Him.
