the Gospel of John 16:33 [ESV]
Many of you may have already seen the news and few of you are unaware. Our nation continues to face many crises, be them economic, social, or from natural disasters. Then, there are those incidents that are so tragic in their heinous actions and they have such darkness written in their origins. Today, in Newtown, Connecticut there was another shooting at an elementary school where there are reports of many children and adults that have perished. Lives that were cut short and not valued in the eyes of their slayer. We are reminded that life is precious and how short it can be. We are reminded that evil does exist and can be manifested in the hearts of our fellow man.
I know it can be difficult to understand such times, but there is peace in the supremacy of Jesus Christ. There is redemption and healing available in Him. I ask that you pray for this to be revealed in these victims and families lives. May we hold onto Jesus as tightly and lovingly as He is already holding onto to us…
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.”
Jesus Christ, from the Gospel of John 10: 27-28 [NASB]
“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
the Apostle Paul – From Romans 8:38-39 [NASB]
