The Incarnation…

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overpower it…
…There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth…

…For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.”

-John 1:1-17

Man’s maker was made man,
that He, Ruler of the stars, might nurse at His mother’s breast;
that the Bread might hunger,
the Fountain thirst,
the Light sleep,
the Way be tired on its journey;
that the Truth might be accused of false witness,
the Teacher be beaten with whips,
the Foundation be suspended on wood;
that Strength might grow weak;
that the Healer might be wounded;
that Life might die.

– Augustine of Hippo

The meaning of Christmas is in the Awesome presence of Immanuel…God With Us.  May God continue to reveal Himself to you and for you to discover that He is due the Glory while He provides the peace through Jesus Christ.

Merry Christmas from brojerome.

Take Heart…

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have John 16-33overcome the world.

-Jesus Christ,
the Gospel of John 16:33 [ESV]

Many of you may have already seen the news and few of you are unaware.  Our nation continues to face many crises, be them economic, social, or from natural disasters.  Then, there are those incidents that are so tragic in their heinous actions and they have such darkness written in their origins.  Today, in Newtown, Connecticut there was another shooting at an elementary school where there are reports of many children and adults that have perished.  Lives that were cut short and not valued in the eyes of their slayer.  We are reminded that life is precious and how short it can be.  We are reminded that evil does exist and can be manifested in the hearts of our fellow man.

I know it can be difficult to understand such times, but there is peace in the supremacy of Jesus Christ.  There is redemption and healing available in Him.  I ask that you pray for this to be revealed in these victims and families lives.  May we hold onto Jesus as tightly and lovingly as He is already holding onto to us…

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.”

Jesus Christ, from the Gospel of John 10: 27-28 [NASB]

“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

the Apostle Paul – From Romans 8:38-39 [NASB]

“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age….you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”

-Jesus Christ [Matthew 28:18-20 / Acts 1:8]

BE My Heart, My Hands, My Voice… BE oBEdient…

The mission to proclaim to truth of Jesus Christ, to display the Light in the midst of darkness, to set free the captive with the Gospel, and to declare that the gift of redemption has been given

…This is our mission and it remains of utmost importance…BE obedient. Give, Live, Declare, Love.

God With Us…

She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.”      -Matthew 1:21 – 23    [NASB]

The powerful truth is that God’s gift to us is Himself and we have the greatest need for the gift of “God with us.”
